Search continues for Executive Secretary

Teaching part-time? Stay-at-home parent wanting to keep in touch with the profession? Retired, but still active? We have just the job for you!! KSWLA Executive Secretary duties include:

  • maintaining the membership database
  • editing publications
  • serving as registrar for the conference
  • serving as Web master
  • maintaining archives
  • participating in monthly meetings (usually conference calls) as ex officio member of the Executive Council.

The work load averages 20-25 hours per month, with a low of five hours in a summer month, and a high of 65 or 70 hours in October. The contract is for $3000 per year (December to December) as a self-employed consultant, who is responsible for paying his/her own taxes. Anyone interested in the position should send an application letter and a current curriculum vitae to President Chuck Thorpe
