Mailing Lists & Chat Lines

Mailing Lists/List Servers

The following mailing lists are arranged in alphabetical order. Please note: some of these lists are very active and can result in a hundred or more messages per day. This can be intimidating, especially to the new user, but do not despair! Most lists have a SET (listname) NOMAIL and/or a SUBSCRIBE (listname) DIGEST command to make mail handling easier. Also, many lists have filters you can apply so that you only receive messages of direct interest to you.

See also the San Francisco and the Lizst.com lists of mailing lists related to education.
