Publications

The KSWLA Bulletin and Newsletters are published by the Kansas World Language Association in cooperation with the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages, the Central States Conference on the Teaching of Foreign Languages, and the Modern Language Assocation. Starting in December of 2006, publications include one Bulletin (approximate 28 pages) and 6 Newsletters (2-4 pages each).

KSWLA Bulletin

The KSWLA Bulletin arrives mid-October and contains articles, preliminary schedules, and session descriptions for the annual conference. Copy deadline is September 1. All submissions should be sent to Phyllis Farrar, (pfarrar@sunflower.com) as a MSWord document or Rich Text File. Advertisers should contact the Secretary, who is listed on this page. Use the rates and form found here.

Electronic newsletters

Six to eight monthly newsletters are sent by e-mail to current members. It will contain a variety of news items, alerting members to new information on this web site and other articles of interest. Any member who does not receive the newsletter should send Phyllis Farrar, (pfarrar@sunflower.com), a message to update the e-mail address.

Notices

Each August a mailing goes out to world language teachers across Kansas, inviting them to become members and attend the conference in late October or early November. Although the database of teachers is constantly updated, it is never complete. Please notify Phyllis Farrar, (pfarrar@sunflower.com) of changes in mailing address and/or job assignments of any world language teacher who does not receive the annual post card / flier.
